EDWARD RAYMOND BRANDEL

March 15, 1942 — April 12, 2008

Edward Raymond Brandel, 66, of Jefferson City, died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Adams Street Place. He was born on March 15, 1942, in Argyle, MO, the son of Mike and Ida Schneider Brandel. He graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in 1960 and graduated from Lincoln University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business in 1974. Ed was a United States Army veteran. He was united in marriage on June 6, 1980 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City to Christine Ann Carlson who survives at the home. Ed was a long-time real estate broker owning BRETA Research Co. and currently Ed Brandel Realty, LLC, Jefferson City. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Holy Name Society of St. Peter, Meadow Lake Acres Country Club, and VFW. Ed was an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman, and gambler. He also enjoyed day trading on the stock market. He loved spending time on his land and using his bulldozer. Ed was a devoted husband and loving father; his dedication was to his family. Ed loved and cherished his two girls; their special relationship will never be forgotten. He will be sadly missed by his: two daughters, Erica Christine (David Bruns) Brandel, Jefferson City; Chelsea Michelle Brandel, Kirksville; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Martha and Phil Dudenhoeffer, Freeburg; Mary Fay, Peculiar, MO; and three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Donald and Becky Brandel, Overland Park, KS; Bill and Marian Brandel, Hartsburg; and Jerome Brandel, Diamondhead, Miss. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Charles Brandel; and Stanley Brandel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Donald W. Lammers and Rev. Kevin Gormely concelebrating. Burial with full military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30.
