EDNA MARY EGGEN

Edna Mary Eggen, 86, of St. Martins, died Monday, July 20, 2009, at her home. She was born on February 3, 1923, in Lohman, Mo, the daughter of Victor Theodore and Minnie S. Kolde Ihler. She was united in marriage on November 22, 1947, in St. Martins, to Vincent Paul Eggen who survives at the home. Edna and her husband Vincent owned and operated Eggen Office Equipment where she served as the secretary and bookkeeper. She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church. Edna enjoyed sewing and crocheting, making loafs of bread and cinnamon rolls, and gardening. Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Jane and David Morff, St. Martins; one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Lori Eggen, Jefferson City; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian) Green; Mark Morff and his friend Dana Bise; Kristen Eggen; Kyle Eggen; one great-granddaughter, Megan Green; one brother and sister-in-law, Amos and Vi Ihler, Brazito, Mo; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Lou and Tom Mueller, Jefferson City; and Helen and John Hohm, Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, and a sister, Wilma Wagers. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2009, at St. Martin Catholic Church with the Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt officiating. Burial will in be St. Martin Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:30-8 p.m. Thursday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Missouri River Hospice; St. Martin Catholic School Expansion Fund; Breast Cancer; or Alzheimer’s Association.
