Edna Elizabeth Prenger, 97, of Jefferson City, died Friday, October 28, 2011, at Golden Living Center.
She was born on September 24, 1914, in Wardsville, Mo., the daughter of the late John and Ida Hager Stockman.
She was united in marriage on January 28, 1936, in Wardsville, to David A. Prenger who preceded her in death on January 2, 1987.
A homemaker, Edna worked for over twenty years in the Jefferson City Public Schools cafeterias.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and St. Anns Sodality. Edna loved to cook and bake for her family, enjoyed flowers, and was devoted to her faith.
Survivors include: two daughters, Janice (Ronald) Buske, Lees Summit, Mo.; Cheryl (Jeffery) Thomas, Jefferson City; 13 grandchildren, Ricky Prenger, Jeff Prenger, Melissa Taylor, Michael Prenger, Greg Prenger, Michelle Roberts, Julie Scott, Mitch Prenger, Christopher Buske, Jeremy Buske, Ryan Thomas, Kyle Thomas, Ashley Thomas; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Gerald Prenger and Kenneth Prenger; one great-grandson; 4 sisters; and 6 brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Dylan Schrader, officiating.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6 p.m.
