Dr. Rebecca R. (Stockman) Lueckenhoff, passed away peacefully at her home, holding her husband's hand, on Friday, May 27, 2016. Dr. Lueckenhoff was born in Jefferson City, MO, on April 11, 1956, the oldest child of Leroy B. and Dolores C. (Schaefer) Stockman. On June 14, 1974, Rebecca married the love of her life, Richard A. Lueckenhoff and the couple was blessed with a daughter, Angela N. Lueckenhoff. Dr. Lueckenhoff was a 1974 graduate of Helias Catholic High School. She graduated from Lincoln University in 1978, with a bachelor's degree in Biology. During her high school and college years, Rebecca was the bookkeeper for her uncle Dave at the Stockman Feed Store and worked as a lab technician at St. Mary's Hospital. She was accepted into the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine, graduating in 1982 as a fellow of Family Practice and President of her Class. Dr. Lueckenhoff completed her medical residency at the UMC Medical Center. In 1985, she opened her family medicine practice in Jefferson City, and moved her private practice to offices next to Dr. James Allen, on Industrial Drive. In 1989, she moved her family practice to St. Mary's Medical Offices, eventually joining JCMG. Realizing the need, in mid-Missouri, for in-depth attention to women's hormone health, Dr. Lueckenhoff opened Health Enhancements in 2007, a medical practice focusing on patient care in bio-identical and hormone therapy for women. She retired from practice in October of 2015. She was a board certified family practice physician with the State of Missouri, a member of the Missouri Medical Association, a fellow of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine, a member of the American Board of Family Medicine, and was an advocate for cancer patients, testifying before the Missouri State Legislature to reduce the cost of chemotherapy medications and to make those medications more readily available to patients. Rebecca was a lifetime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was a Music Minister, providing voice and guitar accompaniment to Sunday Liturgies. Becky enjoyed her free time with her husband and family, with trips to Florida beaches, snow skiing in Colorado, scuba diving in tropical waters, playing golf with her dad at Meadow Lake Acres, camping and canoeing the waterways of Missouri, sailing at the Lake of the Ozarks, and cheering for the St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals. She is survived by her husband of almost 42 years, Richard A. Lueckenhoff, of the home, her daughter Angela (Lueckenhoff) Montgomery and her husband Darren, two grandsons, Donald J. Montgomery and Charles L. Montgomery, all of St. Louis. She is also survived by her mother, Dolores C. (Schaefer) Stockman, seven siblings and their spouses, Christine A. (Mark) Stokes, Mitchell L.
