Dorothy Jane Even, 80, of Westphalia, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital. She was born April 23, 1935, in Folk, Missouri, the daughter of the late Herman and Regina (Scheppers) Rothove. Dorothy attended grade school at St. Anthony in Folk. She received her GED from Lincoln University and her LPN from Nichols Career Center. She was united in marriage on September 19, 1953, in Folk, to Leroy Charles Even who preceded her in death on December 12, 2010. Dorothy worked in her earlier years with McGraw Edison and Chesebrough Ponds. After she received her LPN she worked as a nurse in the OB department with St. Mary's Hospital. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia and the St. Ann's Sewing Circle. Her hobbies included fishing, quilting, gardening, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. Dorothy had a generous and loving heart who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include: six children, Darlene (Stanley) Woehr, Westphalia; Dennis (Laura) Even, Folk; Debbie (Ed) Thompson, Joplin; Douglas (Martha) Even, Westphalia; Darin (Jennifer) Even, Meta; Duane Even, Westphalia; five grandchildren, Ashley Even, Samantha Even, Zachary Even, Joshua Even, Alex Even; two sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Rothove, Folk; Mary Ann Rothove, Westphalia; and a brother-in-law Roman Even, Jefferson City She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Eric Even; two sisters, Florence Feltrop and Margaret Grellner; and three brothers, Hubert, Herman, Rudy Rothove. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Westphalia with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia with the Rev. Don Antweiler and the Rev. Louis Nelen concelebrating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the St. Joseph Catholic School or to the St. Ann's Sewing Circle.
