Dorothy Anne Burd

She was born in Jefferson City to Alphonse Frank Distler and Christine Mary Dulle Distler. She was married on October 3, 1953 in Jefferson City to Maruice Lee Burd who survives at the home. Other survivors include two daughters, Lois A. Burd and Janet L. Stokes, both of Jefferson City; one grandson, Joshua Stokes; a sister, Beth Payne, Jefferson City; and a brother, Ted Distler, Jefferson City. She was employed with Missouri Division of Welfare; Jefferson City Baking Company; 3M Business Machines; Scholastic, Inc.; and retired as an Account Clerk from the Missouri Division of Medical Services. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; the Immaculata Club; and was a volunteer with the Samaritan Center and St. Marys Health Center Auxiliary. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, or a Charity of the Donor's Choice. She was a 1951 graduate of St. Peter High School.
