Dorine Mary Heimericks, 93, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015, at Golden Living Center. She was born September 27, 1921, in St. Martins, the daughter of the late Charles and Hilda (Dulle) Carel. She was a 1940 graduate of Centertown High School. She was united in marriage on December 2, 1944, at St. Martin Catholic Church to Emil Herman Heimericks who preceded her in death on April 19, 1995. In her early years, Dorine worked at an Ammunitions Plant in St. Louis. After her marriage she became a homemaker. Dorine enjoyed her flowers, canning food, and especially loved being with her grandchildren. She was a former member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She later attended the Cathedral of St. Joseph. Survivors include: eleven children, Alice (Joe) Huhn, Centertown; Mary (Gerald) Nilges, Koeltztown; Eddie (Rhonda) Heimericks, California; Ralph (Ruth) Heimericks, Jefferson City; Bernie (Janice) Heimericks, Henley; Anita (Wayne) Hammann, Russellville; Janet (Gary) Smith, Jefferson City; Sharon (Randy) Campbell, Russellville; Larry (Elaine) Heimericks, Argyle; Rita (Doug) Heimericks-Ash, California; Carol (Steve) Heimericks-Day, Fayette; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren with 2 more expecting; one brother, Richard (Barbara) Carel, Jefferson City; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Carel, St, Martins; and Ann Carel, Springfield, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one great-grandson, Cole Nilges; five brothers, Bernard Carel, Vincent Carel, Joseph Carel, Ken Carel, Raymond Carel; and one sister, Helen Steck. Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Monday, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
