Donald Dwayne Van Osdol

Donald Dwayne Van Osdol, 70, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born August 16, 1945, in Omaha, NE the son of Donald Eugene and Dordan (Kuhns) Van Osdol. Dwayne joined the United States Army at the age of 17, and was stationed in Germany. After his service to his country he worked for many years as a mechanic with family members in Omaha. After his retirement he moved to Jefferson city where he resided at the time of his death. Dwayne loved to socialize and play pool with his friends and family. He is survived by his mother, Dordan Van Osdol, Jefferson City; six children, Kimberly (Dan) Hartung, Sabetha, KS; Autumn Van Osdol, Yuba City, CA; Spring Van Osdol, Omaha, NE; Erica (Richard) Acosta, Lake Tahoe, NV; Jacob Van Osdol, Omaha, NE; Darlene (Shawn) Jennings, Omaha, NE; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren with one on the way; four siblings, Donna (Doug) Fear, Jefferson City; Doyle (Carol) Van Osdol, Jefferson City; Denise (Dale) Taylor, Jefferson City; Debbie (Terry) Loper, Plattsmouth, NE; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Eugene Van Osdol. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Following the visitation there will be a memorial motorcycle ride from the funeral home to his favorite place, the Outpost in Centertown. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
