DORA MAE MACK

Dora Mae Mack, 72, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at St. Marys Health Center. She was born on Sept. 10, 1936, at Cape Girardeau, Mo., the daughter of the late Patrick and Willa Affton Williams Cayce. She was married on Feb. 9, 1974, in Jefferson City to James Oliver Mack who survives at the home. Mrs. Mack was employed for several years as a clerk with the Missouri Department of Revenue and later as Accounts Payable Supervisor at Lincoln University until her retirement. She was a member of Quinn Chapel AME Church where she served as a Stewardess. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Golden Circle. She enjoyed her church work, bowling, singing, and gardening. Other survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Anita Doreen and Stewart Epps, Mexico, Mo.; two grandchildren, Dominic DuHart and Danielle DuHart, both of Jefferson City; seven great-grandchildren, Dominique DuHart; James DuHart; Ashton York; Terrance Jackson; Jazmin DuHart; Ajahne Warner; and Zachary DuHart; one great-great-granddaughter, Miyea DuHart; one brother, William Cayce, Las Vegas, Nev.; and many nieces and nephews including Saunjina Cayce, Atlanta, Ga., and Terrance Cayce, Columbia, Mo., whom she raised. She was preceded in death by one sister, Marilyn Maupins; and one brother, Patrick Cayce, Jr. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Quinn Chapel AME Church with the Rev. Margaret Redmond officiating. Burial will be in Hawthorn Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donors choice.
