DAVID NORMAN BRONSON

December 19, 1923 — January 10, 2011

David Norman Bronson, 87, of Jefferson City, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at Golden Living Center.
He was born Dec. 19, 1923, in Minneapolis, Minn., the son of the late Norman Chesley and Esther Sophia Hortvet Bronson. He was married on June 12, 1965, in Jefferson City to Donna Jean Carr Scott who survives at the home. Mr. Bronson was employed in sales most of his adult life in the appliances and insurance fields and retired after twenty-five years with Montgomery-Ward, Inc. He later served as a school bus driver and as a guard at the Callaway Nuclear Power Plant.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served with the Minnesota Air National Guard. He was a member of First Baptist Church; Roscoe Enloe American Legion Post 5; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 2693; 40&8 Voiture No. 1292; and the National Rifle Association. He especially loved hunting and fishing, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Other survivors include five children, Anna Mae J.(Pete) Peschang, Copper Center, Alaska; David J. (Gloria) Bronson, Crystal, Minn.; Howard E. (Susie) Nelson, Jefferson City; Kerry R. Scott, Jefferson City; and Marcia J. (Bob) Donnelly, Branson, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Kelly OHalloran; Glenn OHalloran; Jarrod Peschang; Brandon Nelson; Sarah Nelson; Donna Fullick; Emily Kinchens; and Leah Rachel Jeffries; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Elizabeth McNutt, West St. Paul, Minn.; and one niece, Nancy Hornstein, M.D., Little Rock, Ark. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sherry Bronson; and one daughter, Marcia Nelson Cleveland.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Doyle Sager officiating. Entombment will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church, 301 E.
