Cyrilla Marie Prenger

Cyrilla Marie Prenger, 93, of Taos, died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at St. Mary's Health Center. She was born July 14, 1920, in Taos, the daughter of the late Conrad and Elizabeth (Bruemmer) Kramer. She was united in marriage on June 20, 1942, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church to Carl Richard Prenger who preceded her in death on July 29, 2011. Cyrilla worked for Tweedie Foot Ware before helping on the family farm. She was a homemaker, helped her son Dale with milking and tending to her garden and canning the produce. Cyrilla helped with the milking until she was 80 years old. She was a hard worker throughout her whole life. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos and was devoted to the Blessed Mother. Survivors include: ten children, Donald (Carol) Prenger, Taos; Virgil (Patricia) Prenger, Taos; Marilyn Moeller, Jefferson City; Gary (Milanie) Prenger, Jefferson City; Dale (Linda) Prenger, Taos; Betty Pohl (Donald Smallwood), Taos; Kathy (Leo) Schulte, St. Thomas; Roy (Diane) Prenger, Taos; Earl (Donna) Prenger, Taos; Barbara (Marvin) Wieberg, Koeltztown; 30 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild; one sister-in-law, Geraldine Prenger; one brother-in-law, Walter Wieberg; a special friend, Stella Schmitz; and her pet cat, Smokie. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and five sisters, Pauline Kramer, Philomena Bruns, Josephine Verslues, Mathilda Forck, Marie Wieberg; and one granddaughter, Holly Kiesling. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with the Rev. Wayne M. Boyer officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
