Charles Joseph Kolb

November 19, 1921 — March 31, 2002

Mr. Kolb was the son of Jacob Bernard Kolb and Magdalen Catherine Markway Kolb. He was married on June 14, 1947 in Jefferson City to Mary Anne Forck who survives at the home. He retired in 1985 as vice-president of Exchange National Bank where he had been employed for 44 years. Other survivors include a son, Bill C. Kolb, Amarillo, Texas; two daughers, Becky A. Kennedy and Rose Anne Schmitz, both of Jefferson City; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Grace Mary Vignola, Jefferson City; and three brothers, Paul H. Kolb and Robert Kolb, Jefferson City; and Herbert A. Kolb, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Charles Joseph Kolb, Jr. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where he served as a former member of the Parish Council, Lay Minister, and past president of the Holy Name Society. He was past president, secretary, and treasurer of St. Peter Cemetery Association; past Grand Knight of Helias Knights of Columbus Council No. 1054; past Faithful Navigator of Dan C. Coppin Fourth Degree Assembly, Knights of Columbus; past State Deputy and former Master of the Eastern District of the Missouri Knights of Columbus; past Vice-Supreme Master of the Fr. Juan Padilla Province of the Knights of Columus. He was past presient of St. Marys Health Center Advisory Board; life member of St. Marys Health Center Auxiliary; and former member of the Sunrise Optimist Club in Jefferson City. He was a past president of the Missouri Fraternal Congress; Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem; and an active volunteer with the Samaritan Center and Meals on Wheels program. Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Endowment Fund, 1206 E. McCarty Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101; Vogelweid Learning Center, 216 Broadway, Jefferson City, MO 65101; or Samaritan Center, 1310 E. McCarty Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101. He was a 1939 graduate of St. Peter High School; attended Jefferson City Junior College; and pursued studies at the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.
