Cole Stephen Nilges, two year old son of Donald Joseph and Veronica Lynn Schulte Nilges of Koeltztown, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006, at University Hospital in Columbia. He was born on April 12, 2004, in Jefferson City and was a baptized member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia. Other survivors include his brother, Thad Jared Nilges, at home; maternal grandparents, Richard and Roberta Schulte, Holts Summit; paternal grandparents, Gerald and Mary Nilges, Koeltztown; maternal great-grandparents, Joseph and Margaret Schulte, Jefferson City; and Eulalia Schepers, Jefferson City; paternal great-grandmother, Dorine Heimericks, Jefferson City; aunts and uncles, Eric Schulte and Garret Schulte, both of Holts Summit; Stephanie and Matthew Hohenshell, Ozark, MO; David and Simone Nilges, Germany; Michael Nilges, Koeltztown; and Joyce and Douglas Branson, Koeltztown; and numerous cousins, great-cousins, great-aunts, and great-uncles. Cole Bear will be greatly missed by many family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, with the Rev. Philip M. Kane officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Westphalia. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5th, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Cole Nilges Memorial Fund.
