CAROLYN ANN CRADER

December 5, 1941 — July 14, 2006

Carolyn Ann Crader, 64, of Jefferson City, died Friday, July 14, 2006, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia. She was born on Dec. 5, 1941 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Arthur Walter and Thelma Irene Jones Schlumbohm. She was married on Dec. 17, 1960 in Jefferson City to James Lewis Crader, Sr., who died on Nov. 8, 2001. She was a 1959 graduate of Jefferson City High School and received her License Practical Nursing degree from Nichols Career Center in 1980. Mrs. Crader was employed as a Nurses Aid with Memorial Hospital from 1959 to 1962; and as a License Practical Nurse with Still Hospital from 1978 to 1982, and with St. Marys Hospital from 1982 to 1999. She also was a nurse at Villa Marie Skilled Care Center and St. Joseph Home for the Aged. She was a member of Capital City Christian Church; Jefferson City LPN Association; Missouri State Association of Licensed Practical Nurses; and was a volunteer with the Jefferson City Police Department, Girl Scouts, and Jaycees. She had served as a DeMolay Mom, Rainbow Mom, and was a past Cub Scout Den Mother. Other survivors include three sons and their wives, James L., Jr. and Stacy Crader, Holts Summit; and Dan A. and Jennifer Crader, and Kenny R. Crader, all of Jefferson City; five grandchildren, Kayla Crader, Robbie Crader, Megan Crader, Tiffany Southern, and Brittney Southern; and a son-in-law, J. Joe Southern, Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorri Ann Southern. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with Pastor Douglas J. Crader officiating, and the Rev. Gary W. Baker assisting. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, July 17th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
