Betty Lou Duff, 85, of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 6, 2016. She was born December 16, 1930, in Holts Summit, Missouri, the daughter of the late Delbert and Lucy Amy (Craigo) Payne. She attended Jefferson City Junior College in Jefferson City studying nursing. She was united in marriage on September 3, 1950, at the New Bloomfield Methodist Church to Donald Dean Duff who preceded her in death on September 4, 2004. Betty worked for the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City, AT& T in Kansas City as a clerical assistant, Stephens College and Dinkler's Dress Shop in Columbia, MO. She was a devoted wife and a loving, caring mother and grandmother to her family. She was a member of New Bloomfield Methodist Church and attended First United Methodist Church in Jefferson City. She was a volunteer with the American Cancer Society, Library for the Blind, was a Pink Lady for Boone Hospital, and was an active Demolay Mom and a former president. She was an accomplished cook and baker and enjoyed traveling with her family. Survivors include: four children, Marise Stewart, Falls Church, VA; Marsha (Steve) Warnke, Salem, OR; Patrick Duff (Desiree Serrone) Kansas City, MO; Phillip Duff (Karen Farley), Seattle, WA; five grandchildren, Bink Stewart, Ainsley Stewart, Julian Duff, Abigail Duff, Sam Duff; and many cousins including John (Bonita) Payne. Visitation will be 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2016, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum. Memorials are suggested to the Wolfner Talking Book & Braille Library, P.O. Box 387, Jefferson City, Missouri, 65102-0387.
