Adolph William Boeckman

Adolph "Dolph" William Boeckman, 87, of St. Martins, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born February 21, 1929, in Miller County, the son of the late Joseph and Ida Marie (Dickneite) Boeckman. He was united in marriage on October 10, 1950, in St. Martins to Lorene Catherine Brondel who preceded him in death on September 14, 2014. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Dolph worked as a milkman for 34 years. He also worked part-time as a janitor for the St. Martin School in St. Martins for 20 years. He was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church, served on the St. Martin Cemetery committee for over 50 years, the Helias Catholic School board, American Legion for over 40 years, and the Teamsters Union. Dolph spent countless hours volunteering for the church and the school. Dolph enjoyed going on bus trips with his wife Lorene, spending time at the family cabin on the river, camping, gardening and watching Cardinal baseball. He will always be remembered for his keen sense of humor. Survivors include his five children, Eileen Lampe (Larry Norlund), Jefferson City; Marsha (Terry) Libbert, St. Martins; Peg (Dave) Buersmeyer, St. Martins; Brenda (Roger) Heet, Holts Summit; Mark (Diane) Boeckman, Jefferson City; nine grandchildren, Marissa Kopp, Tiffany Jaegers, Mandy Barber, Matthew Libbert, Jessica Valenti, Amber Meyer, Brittney Wicks, Stefan Boeckman, Caleb Boeckman; four step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one due in the fall to carry on the Boeckman name; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Henry Boeckman, Linn; Albert (Alma) Boeckman, Westphalia; Patricia Brondel, St. Martins; and Alberta (Tom) Koestner, Russellville. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lorene; a great-granddaughter, Peyton Lorene Boeckman; a great-grandson, Brody Michael Kopp; a sister, Anna Marie Schepers; and two brothers, Joseph Boeckman, Jr. and Fredrick Boeckman. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Additional visitation will be 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Martin Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 Noon Thursday, May 5, 2016, at St. Martin Catholic Church with the Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt officiating. Burial with military honors will be in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Martin Catholic School, 7206 St. Martins Ave., Jefferson City, Mo 65109.
