Aaron Wade Bentley, 39, of Jefferson City passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021.

He was born February 19, 1982, in Columbia, Missouri, the son of Charles Marvin Bentley and Jovita Marie Stenger Rapp.

Aaron attended Austin High School in Texas and Douglas High School in Columbia. After receiving his GED, he attended Columbia College.

He was married in Austin, Texas to Joanna Wagner. From this marriage his twin sons were born, Dublin and Murphy.

Aaron worked around the Austin, Texas and Central Missouri areas as a server and bartender specifically for Irish Pubs. Most recently he worked at Sycamore in Columbia, MO. He enjoyed music especially playing his guitar, hanging out with his friends, photography (including hummingbirds and owls), reading and writing, hiking, playing disc golf, and traveling. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, Cincinnati Bengals and FC Bayern Munich. Aaron’s greatest joy was his twin sons Dublin and Murphy.

Survivors include his sons, Dublin and Murphy Bentley, Wimberly, TX; step-son, Wiley Banks, Wimberly, TX; mother, Jovita Rapp, Jefferson City; father, Charles (Sharon) Bentley, Columbia; brother, Elliott (Andrea) Bentley, Columbia; half-sister, Jennifer Rotert, KS; step-brother, William (Misty) Rapp, Raytown, MO; maternal grandmother, Fran Stenger, Jefferson City; paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Rosie Bentley, Marshall; several aunts and uncles; and other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ferdinand Stenger; paternal great-grandmother, Lucille Wade; nephew, Henry Bentley; step-father, Thomas Rapp; and two cousins, Cyndi Jones and Keith Jones.

Visitation will be 9:30-11 a.m. Friday, November 5, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Antweiler officiating.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
