ARTHUR DAVID LANDERS

October 26, 1925 — May 7, 2011

Arthur David Landers, 85, of Jefferson City, died Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born on October 26, 1925, in Fulton, Mo., the son of the late Jesse and Lillie Musgrove Landers.
He was united in marriage on April 3, 1951, in Taos, Mo., to Ann Edna Bruns who preceded him in death in April of 1963. On September 10, 1967, he married Clara Mae Shields Armstrong who resides at the home.
He was a United States Army veteran serving during World War II.
Arthur worked with the Jefferson City Police Department as a police officer, Jefferson City Public Works as a maintenance worker, and with the Jefferson City Public Schools.
He was a member of the Cathedral of Saint Joseph. Arthur enjoyed rabbit hunting, fishing, and going to rummage sales. In 2010, Arthur had the privilege of going on the Central Missouri Honor Flight to Washington D.C.
Other survivors include his children, Linda (Jeff) Kelley, Jefferson City; Danny (Vicki) Landers, Holts Summit; Ron (Cheri) Landers, Holts Summit; Larry (Kim) Landers, Holts Summit; step-children, Charles (Mary Sue) Armstrong, Tebbetts; Gary (Cheryl) Armstrong, New Bloomfield; Janet (Robert) Johnson, Jefferson City; and Steve (Joyce) Armstrong, New Bloomfield; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dolly Dungan, Fulton, Mo.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Owens; two step-grandchildren, David Lee and Becca Watson; one brother, Raymond Landers; and one sister, Ruth Raps.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph with the Rev. Benjamin Nwosu officiating.
Burial with military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m.
