Anthony C. Tony Kempker, 68, of Taos, died Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at Heisinger Care Center. He was born on July 24, 1936 in Folk, the son of Herman Bernard and Agnes Frances Hake Kempker. His mother survives in Jefferson City. He was married on Oct. 12, 1957 in Taos to Lorine Josephine Lage who survives at the home. A life-long farmer in the Taos area, Mr. Kempker owned and operated Anthony Kempker Trucking Company, Taos, for thirty-three years. He had previously been employed with Missouri Builders Service for twenty years. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Taos; and Taos Knights of Columbus Council 6430. Other survivors include two sons and their wives, Allen and Karen Kempker, Taos; and Harvey and Amy Kempker, Taos; four daughters and their husbands, Karen and Dave Berendzen, Marys Home; Tammy Lootens, Taos; Joyce and Norman Smead, Tebbetts; and Shirley and Brad Stout, Jefferson City; fifteen grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; six brothers and their wives, Alfred and Janice Kempker, Jefferson City; Floyd Jack and Helen Kempker, Taos; Lloyd Kempker, Jefferson City; Herman, Jr. and Marilyn Kempker, Jefferson City; Leonard and Marilyn Kempker, Wardsville; and Lester and Rita Kempker, Taos; and one sister and her husband, Laurentia and Arnold Wenzel, Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Roger Werdehausen; and one sister-in-law, Barbara Kempker. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2005, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Taos, with the Rev. J. David Maher officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Taos. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 7th, at St. Francis Xavier Church, Taos, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Friday at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. Francis Xavier Building Fund, 7319 Route M, Jefferson City, MO 65101. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
