ANGELINE AMELIA RENICK

February 28, 1923 — June 12, 2011

Angeline Amelia Renick, 88, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, June 12, 2011, at her residence with her loving children by her side.
She was born on Feb. 28, 1923, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late William and Florence Flessa Kuehn.
She was married on June 12, 1943, in Jefferson City to James Richard Renick, Sr., who preceded her on Jan. 17, 2004.
A 1941 graduate of St. Peter High School, Mrs. Renick was employed in earlier years with Oberman Manufacturing Company. She later became a stay-at-home mom raising six children. During the late 1960s she was employed with Chesebrough-Ponds from which she retired.
Mrs. Renick loved to travel with her husband where she gathered information from cemeteries across Missouri for the Renick, Flessa, and Kuehn sides of her family. From this research she published three books on the family history. During retirement she collected hundreds of dolls, especially Barbies. She also made doll clothing which she sold at St. Peter craft shows.
She loved camping, sewing, writing poems, and reading. She made quilts, one for each of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and for those coming in the future.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church; the Ladies Sodality; Avesis Card Club; St. Marys Health Center Auxiliary; and was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include six children, James R. (Velma) Renick, Jr.; Daniel S. Renick; Thomas K. (Sarah) Renick; Mary T. Renick Gallatin; and Douglas N. Renick and his Fiance, Debbie, all of Jefferson City; and Robert W. Renick, Columbia, Mo.; ten grandchildren, Derrick W. Gallatin; Timothy M. (Allison) Gallatin; Bryce E. (Chrisoula) Gallatin; Thomas K. (Shannon) Renick, Jr.; Brian C. Renick; Patrick S. Renick; Robert W. Renick, Jr.; Angela N. Renick; Michael J. Renick; and Zachary D. Renick; four great-grandchildren, McKenzie A. Gallatin; Crayton W. Gallatin; Alexis P. Gallatin; and Dane E. Gallatin; and two sisters, Germaine Mahaffey, State of California; and Rosemary Ward, Jefferson City.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Catherine Hirschvogel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2011, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Basil Eruo officiating.
Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.
Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 15th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral home with a prayer service at 4 p.m.
