ALBERT WILLIAM SCHEPPERS

Albert William Scheppers, 72, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born on Sept. 14, 1932 in Westphalia, MO, the son of Leo Bernard and Adelaide Eichholz Scheppers. He was married on Oct. 23, 1954 in Folk, MO to Alvina Ann Koehne who survives at the home. A graduate of St. Joseph School in Westphalia, he was employed for thirty-eight years as a driver with Jefferson City Oil Company until his retirement in 1998. Mr. Scheppers was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict serving as an electrician aboard an aircraft carrier. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where he served on the Parish Council and as an usher; Holy Name Society; former Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 6; and former leader with the 4H. Other survivors include four daughters, Sallie Young and her husband, William, of Niangua, MO; Dianna Welch, Eugene; and Brenda Brandt and Mary Distler, both of Jefferson City; two sons and their wives, Paul and Debbie Scheppers, Jefferson City; and Jim and Kat Scheppers, Jefferson City; twelve grandchildren, Tracey Bustin, Jason Welch, Jessica Welch, Amy Brandt, Trisha Brandt, Kurt Brandt, Ashley Scheppers, Connie Scheppers, James Scheppers, Missy Distler, Tyler Distler, and Rio Amick; and two great-grandchildren, Emily Bustin and Caleb Bustin; three sisters, Rosemary Hake, Meta; Dorothy Helmig and her husband, Dwight, of Linn; and Evelyn Cooley and her husband Terry, of Westphalia; and one brother, Joe Scheppers and his wife, Dolores, of Westphalia. He was preceded in death by one sister, Alice Cooley; two sons-in-law, Larry Welch and Keith Distler; and one brother-in-law, Ed Hake. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2005, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial with full military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 21st, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1206 E.
