History
Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home has its roots in the 19th century work of Charles P. Heinrichs, a pioneer Jefferson City undertaker, embalmer, and furniture dealer, with whom was later associated Sylvester "Bus" Dulle. Mr. Dulle and his wife, Esther, acquired the Heinrichs' funeral assets and in 1942 founded the Dulle Funeral Home, which operated for many decades from the historic Tweedie Mansion at 601 East High Street.
In 1965, their son, Ralph F. Dulle, joined the firm, and, together with his wife, Roseleen, eventually assumed ownership. In 1984, a new funeral home was built at the North Ten Mile Drive location on a four-acre wooded lot. With retirement approaching and wishing to keep the funeral home locally owned, the Dulles transferred ownership and management to Kent W. Trimble and his wife, Christine, on July 1, 1995.
